We have offices in Darmstadt, Zagreb and Osijek. Currently, we are in a hybrid work mode combining office work and remote in Croatia. What is this position about?

We are looking for an Android Developer to join our growing team remotely or in one of our offices (Osijek/Zagreb). Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain a high-quality Android application for a long-term client based in the German-speaking region.

This project is in its early stages, giving you the opportunity to work closely with the team to define the architecture, features, and overall direction of the application. The role includes integrating hardware protocols like Bluetooth/MQTT/WiFi while focusing on delivering a user-friendly, high-performance product.

What do we expect from you?

We’re looking for a skilled professional who combines technical expertise with great communication skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
  • Experience with hardware protocols (Bluetooth, MQTT, WiFi)
  • Strong knowledge of Coroutines.
  • Experience with SQLite (Room) for data persistence.
  • Familiarity with Android Jetpack Components (LiveData, Navigation, WorkManager).
  • Familiarity with unit testing and debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks
  • Understanding of architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, or similar).
  • Familiarity with data persistence techniques 
  • Experience with REST APIs and HTTP networking libraries
  • Strong grasp of Git and collaborative workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Flexibility to travel once a month for in-person client meetings if needed.
