In this role, you’ll be making our Sports Collectibles products faster, slicker, and ready for prime time.\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll do: \n* Design and architect scalable backend systems that drive high-performance user experiences across our flagship platforms.\n* Build and maintain robust APIs and backend services with a focus on reliability, security, and developer usability.\n* Develop complex server-side logic to integrate blockchain technologies and handle high-throughput data flows and transactions.\n* Implement real-time monitoring and alerting systems, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization.\n* Lead backend efforts across the entire development lifecycle—from planning and design to deployment and iteration.\n* Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that are both performant and delightful to use.\n* Oversee database design, management, and optimization across multiple systems and services.\n* Document system architecture, APIs, and processes for both internal and external development stakeholders.\n* Ensure secure and efficient handling of user data and interactions.\n* Contribute to technical strategy and mentor junior team members as a go-to backend expert.\n\n\n\nAbout you:\n* 6+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally with Go (Golang) or similar performant backend languages.\n* Proven ability to design and implement scalable, production-grade systems in a cloud-native environment.\n* Deep understanding of API architecture, distributed systems, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).\n* Comfortable leading backend projects from concept to deployment.\n* Strong advocate for clean code, testing, documentation, and best practices in version control (Git).\n* Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams, delivering iteratively while maintaining a long-term vision.\n* A problem-solver at heart, excited by technical challenges and driven by delivering impact at scale.\n* Passion for blockchain technology, gaming, and redefining digital ownership.\n\n\n\nBonus points if you have the following:\n* Experience architecting and deploying cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).\n* Background in blockchain technologies, smart contract integration, or NFTs.\n* Built backend tooling that enhanced developer workflows or platform efficiency.\n* Contributed to open-source backend frameworks or libraries.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDapper Labs is the world’s leading consumer crypto company.
