Built for modern applications, TiDB enables organizations to seamlessly scale their data infrastructure while maintaining strong consistency and robust performance. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving adoption and success with TiDB. You will work directly with account sales teams, channel partners, and customers to understand their needs, strategize on how to best support them in their evaluation, and ultimately help them choose TiDB as their solution. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to help customers achieve their goals while driving growth.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Educate prospects and customers on the capabilities and benefits of TiDB, articulating how it addresses business and technical challenges.\n* Share best practices for integrating TiDB with various data sources and applications.\n* Guide customers through the design, deployment, and optimization of TiDB implementations across multiple functional areas of their organization.\n* Lead and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements, demonstrating TiDBโ€™s capabilities in real-world scenarios.\n* Develop and present tailored architectural solutions, best practices, and industry-specific use cases.\n* Provide technical input on RFPs and customer technical requirements.\n* Create and develop technical champions in your accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win.\n* Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of TiDB throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.\n* Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops to various audiences, including developers, architects, and C-level executives.\n* Generate high-quality technical content such as whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, and reference architectures.\n* Stay at the cutting edge of distributed database technology, confidently presenting TiDB roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects.\n* Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve TiDBโ€™s products and positioning.\n* Establish industry influence by contributing to technical discussions, organizing knowledge-sharing sessions, and engaging with the open-source community.\n* Travel within the region (approximately 20-40%) as required for customer engagements.\n\n\n\nQualifications\n* 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Database Administrator, or Software Engineer with a focus on distributed systems, databases, or cloud computing.\n* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.\n* Extensive experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.\n* Strong understanding of clustering technologies, terminology, and architectures.\n* Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux system administration.\n* Networking: Understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting.\n* Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or comparable technologies.\n* Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Golang, or Shell scripting, to automate deployment and management tasks.\n* Soft Skills:Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to convey technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.\n* Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for customer success.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
