KURABU – Full Stack Developer (Elixir/React) | Jobicy
Job Description
Join KURABU and build features that impact thousands of club members!
$4,000–$7,000 | Full-time | CETHey there, I’m Marc, and I co-founded KURABU to make running sports clubs easier.
We’ve built a platform that helps clubs manage everything – from kids’ football teams to community sports – so club admins can spend less time on paperwork and more time on the game.
We’re growing fast across the DACH region, and our goal is to make club management smooth and enjoyable for thousands of members.
Our team is distributed all over the world, and we really value a collaborative, open, and friendly environment.
We work hard, but we also make time to celebrate wins together, whether it’s a virtual high-five, a summer party, or just chatting about the latest football match.
If you love building digital products and want to see the direct impact of your work on real users, KURABU is a great place to be!
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer (Elixir/React) who is proactive, motivated, and reliable. You’ll enjoy taking ownership of projects, solving problems end-to-end, and working closely with a small team to build a product that really makes a difference.
In this role, you will:
Lead and contribute to full-stack development across backend (Elixir) and frontend (React)
Own the complete development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
Design and implement scalable system architecture and robust APIs
Work closely with the team to deliver the product roadmap
Collaborate within a small, high-impact engineering team to ship high-quality features
Ensure strong code quality, testing discipline, monitoring, and operational excellence
Work with third-party APIs and create APIs of our own
Proactively propose innovative technical solutions and improvements
Support infrastructure, DevOps, and scalability topics (AWS, CI/CD, monitoring, Docker, Terraform)
This is a full-time role. We work primarily in CET/CEST, and we expect at least 4–5 hours of overlap with CET for collaborative work.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you need:
4+ years of professional experience as a full stack or backend-leaning engineer
Strong backend experience with Elixir or transferable skills in Erlang, Ruby/Rails etc.
Experience with system architecture, scalability, infrastructure, and cloud environments
Solid expertise with PostgreSQL and database fundamentals
Experience designing and working with REST APIs
Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Hands-on experience maintaining and developing digital products in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication in English
Brownie points for:
Experience in React and Typescript
Experience specifically with Elixir Phoenix
Experience developing SaaS products in a high-growth startup
Familiarity with SCRUM or agile development workflows
Experience with mobile app integrations or third-party service integrations
Our ideal candidate is collaborative, curious, and open-minded, with a problem-solving mindset.
You enjoy building products end-to-end, value clean code and thoughtful architecture, and can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates.
You’re independent, confident in decision-making, and bring energy and positivity to the team.
