About the Role
We’re looking for a Performance Creative Strategist (freelance) to lead the end-to-end creation of high-performing ad creative — from ideation and scripting through to editing and iteration. Your focus will be on ads that convert, especially on Instagram, with secondary support for email performance direction. You’ll be responsible for producing thumb-stopping video and static content that drives results, while also guiding the broader creative direction across our growth channels.

You should have a proven track record of developing and executing ads that scale, ideally for brands in the maternity, women’s health, or apparel space. You understand what makes creative work — and how to build and iterate based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
Ad Creative (Primary Focus)
  • Concept, produce, and deliver 4–6 new performance ad concepts per month
  • Shoot/edit short-form UGC-style video (or source and repurpose it into high-converting creative)
  • Develop static creative, carousels, and motion graphics aligned with platform best practices
  • Build creative testing frameworks and optimize based on results from Meta/Instagram
  • Work closely with our media buying team to monitor performance and inform iterations
Email Performance Direction
  • Translate CRM strategy into performance-driven creative briefs for email
  • Provide clear direction on subject lines, layout structure, visual hierarchy, and hooks that drive CTR and revenue
  • Collaborate with internal copy and design team members to elevate email creative using performance principles

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years in performance creative for DTC brands (freelance, agency, or in-house)
  • A proven portfolio of Meta/Instagram ad creative that delivered performance results
  • Experience ideating and producing short-form video content (UGC, testimonial, demo, etc.)
  • Strong grasp of key metrics (CTR, CVR, thumb-stop rate, ROAS) and how to optimize toward them
  • Hands-on proficiency with editing/design tools (CapCut, Canva, Figma, or Adobe Suite)
  • Ability to own the full creative lifecycle from idea to asset
  • Bonus: Experience in maternity, postpartum, women’s health, or soft-line apparel
