We live our mission every day – to inspire people, create cool stuff, and make a lasting impact on the world!\n\n\nProject Background:\nOur team is tasked with annual audit support in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123 to conduct internal controls testing at our client’s central offices and field locations to determine if weaknesses exist. The federal office we support oversees annual statement of assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.\n\n\nThe chosen candidate will provide services in support of the Agency’s grants mission initiatives including supportive services to very low-income Veteran families in/or transitioning to permanent housing. Funds are granted to private non-profit organizations and consumer cooperatives that assist very low-income Veteran families by providing a range of supportive services designed to promote housing stability. \n\n\nThe position has a hybrid schedule of onsite travel support up to 50% (interstate travel 1-2 weeks per month) and work from home (2-3 weeks per month). Approved travel costs are reimbursed by Ibility and planned in advance for personal schedule purposes. Site audits are all taking place in person at this time unless a travel restriction is declared later. \n\n\nBenefits of this project include accruing airline miles, credit card points, and hotel points. When site audits are completed earlier than the planned itinerary, our staff enjoys exploring these cities where the sites are located all across the United States. \n\n\n\nResponsibilities: \n* Identify all sources of funds and expenses for supportive services.\n* Determine if costs are allowable in accordance with all applicable OMB regulations, grant regulations and Program Guide.\n* Verify grantee is in compliance with expense thresholds.\n* Ensure compliance with all financial and operational reporting requirements.\n* Determine qualitatively and quantitatively if adequate supportive services are being provided (i.e., outreach services, case management services, assisting participants in obtaining VA benefits, and assisting participants in obtaining other government and public benefits).\n\n\n\nMinimum Requirements: \n* Bachelor’s degree, accounting/finance major is preferable. \n* 3+ years of relevant experience.\n* Experience reviewing and address internal controls, operational controls, cash management, accounting records and documentation, and compliance with grant agreement terms and conditions. \n* Advanced MS Excel skills (with a focus on Pivot Tables).\n* Ability to travel 1-2 weeks per month to field locations across the United States to conduct reviews, including occasional weekend travel (travel is planned in advance for personal schedule purposes).\n* A personal credit card (in order to charge approved, company-reimbursable expenses).\n* Strong attention to detail, writing and oral presentation skills. \n* Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.\n* Ability to think about projects holistically to identify next steps and courses of action that will support the client’s goals.\n* Proficient in the following MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project.\n* The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n* VA or Federal experience\n* Experience with grants internal control program guides, compliance with federal regulations to include 2 CFR 200, 38 CFR Part 61 & 62, IPERIA support and continuous monitoring. \n\n\n\nBenefits (including but not limited to):\n* Health, Dental, and Vision Plans\n* STD/LTD/Life Insurance/AD&D\n* HSA\n* Unlimited Paid Time Off\n* 11 Federal Holidays\n* 401k\n\n\n\n\n\n$73,500 – $80,000 a year\n\nWe are committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
