Our publications and their communities are scaling rapidly and we need an SEO Manager to help us reach our lofty goals.\n\n\nAs our SEO Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our content marketing efforts enabling and driving strategy with the Editors of each publication.Ā \n\n\nYou will be fluent in diving deep to understand the search landscapeĀ for our publications and be able to direct and prioritise content creation based on cluster development, and business priorities.Ā \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll be doing (responsibilities):\n* Meticulously plan and prioritize the cluster development for specific publications\n* Develop, execute and map keyword plans for those clusters that map to our internal customer journeys (factoring potential and business impact).\n* Create internal linking plans, map and track the implementation\n* Identify and prioritize content to upgrade and update on a monthlyĀ basis\n* Monitor and critically analyze cluster performance using the results to inform the ongoing content strategy for specific publications\n* Identify opportunities for incorporating AI-driven content solutions to enhance our content production, distribution, and personalization efforts\n* Identify, evaluate, and advise on cannibalizing content on an ongoing basisĀ \n* Develop content structure, formats, best practice frameworks and guidelines to ensure streamlined, consistent and high-quality content creation\n* Work with our Editorial team to provide guidance and support in sticking to the plan\n* Give perspectives on improving and adding value to our content offering\n* Proactively report and monitor SEO performance with actionable advice\n\n\n\nYour skillset includes:\n* 3 – 4+ years of SEO experience developing successful SEO editorial strategies as an SEO Specialist, SEO content strategist, or similar\n* Proven success in driving significant organic traffic growth and achieving ambitious goals – able to show examples of enhancing or building a strategy and how that impacted performance\n* Be grounded in solid SEO content fundamentals and inherently know how each touchpoint impacts our search performance and business goals\n* Internal linking expertise and ideas on how to operationalize a framework at scale\n* Have run and executed content cannibalization analysis\n* Fluency with Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google Search Console, and any suite of tools required to get the job doneĀ \n* Strong reporting skills with a visual reporting tool such as Looker studio or similiar\n* Be adept at managing multiple brands/projects and prioritizing your workload\n\n\n\nNice to haves:\n* Experience working in SaaS SEO\n* Bring new ideas: approaches, tools, websites, platforms for us to test and adopt\n* Finger on the pulse of AI content and new tools arriving to market daily\n\n\n\n\n\n$90,000 – $110,000 a year\n\nSalary Statement:\nThis full timeĀ position is primarily available as a remote position but we can accommodate hybrid/in office work for people located locally to our Vancouver head office. The role offers an annual salary in the range of $90,000 to $110,000 CAD. The range is a guide for the expected skills, knowledge and experience for new hires based in Canada only. Seniority level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. This means ranges will vary for candidates based outside of Canada and/or at different seniority levels.
