Position Overview:
As a Product Designer (UX) at Dotmatics, you will play a crucial role in improving user experience as part of our ambitious company evolution. You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, and Scientists to create industry-changing experiences for millions of users in scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, and microbiology.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Delivery: Ensure successful experience design delivery in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
- Information Architecture: Develop user flows, site maps, and wireframes to articulate design concepts.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends to maintain high design quality standards.
- Design Leadership: Mentor and inspire team members to foster creativity.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present design concepts and strategies based on insights gathered throughout the design process.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a UX or Product Designer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and high-fidelity products.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma, particularly in using design system components and properties.
- Experience in project management and delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Information Architecture for effective content organization.
Preferred Experience:
- Agile methodologies.
- Building interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Familiarity with tools like Chromatic and/or Storybook.
- Understanding of digital accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of content strategy and its impact on user experience.
